Linha Ávila Route tells the life story of men and women - Germans, Italians, French immigrants and gauchos - who chose a good place to live and, through their customs, abundant food, religiosity and entrepreneurship, transforming the small mountain town into a tourist and cultural reference in Brazil and abroad.
FAMÍLIA WAGNER
Tasty sweets and jellies, produced by the couple Lírio and Terezinha, are highlighted at the first pit stop of the visit. The story of this family, of German and Italian origins, is told while tourists get to know the strawberry fields and fruit trees around the beautiful house built especially to welcome visitors. In the fruit season, the “pick and pay”tour option is offered, an opportunity for visitors to have a unique moment with nature.
CANTINA NONNO GIOVANNI
The story of Italian immigration is told by the couple Alcione and Marivani, in a cozy atmosphere close to the house where they live. The production of artisanal wine in a deactivated smokehouse captures the attention of visitors, who learn about the formula for making the different kinds of wines. Cheeses, salami, juices, preserves, honey and homemade breads are tasted and can be purchased by visitors.
SÍTIO TRADIÇÃO
The gaucho culture has its space in the agrotourism tour that ends with a typical rib cooked gaucho style in a fire pit. Tourists are welcomed by the traditionalist Maurício Muniz, dressed in typical gaucho clothes, in this place, visitors can find a little bit of everything that is part of the gaucho culture. Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch, with ribs cooked in a fire pit. The site also offers horse-taming tours and demonstrations.
